Unfortunately, mainstream media has often chosen to focus solely on the issues faced by those from Pine Ridge, ignoring cultural beauty in exchange for negative, stereotypical imagery. We at outlast are fortunate to learn from the youth from Pine Ridge. We know their creativity and storytelling convey the empowering truths of their communities and culture. We get to witness their passion. We want the rest of the world to witness it, too.
